The evaluation phase is a critical part of the Hackathon. Ideas received during the Phase 1 (Online Idea Submission) are screened and shortlisted for Phase 2 (Prototype Submission).
HackerEarth and Citi Solutions Centers India will follow a set of pre-defined criteria as part of the evaluation process for Phase 1 of the Hackathon.
NOTE: The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

- Simplicity of execution of your idea
- Elaborative self-explanatory design
- Stability of the prototype
- Comprehensiveness/ intuitiveness of the app in terms of functionality, design and working

- Practical use potential of the application
- Viability in a global context
- Relevance to global masses
- Concept and innovation
- How novel and innovative is the idea?
- Originality, creativity, and intent of the concept
- Relevance of pain points that the candidate's idea is trying to address
- Maturity of the technology used
- Usage of API
- Functionality
- Design aesthetics
- Code quality
